Very Hot! Burned my finger in a minute. Was good in my bathroom and made my bedroom a little purple but not really good for what I wanted. I was planning a Halloween party for the kids but black didn't do what I thought it would just make the room pop purple and white, neon usually stood out but they didn't stand out at all.

White light is harsh and cold. Even with a dimmer. This is the perfect amber color. So far, so good. Six more ordered. would never have bought it because it said "orange" on it, but a few other reviewers said it was amber. And this is the truth. Didn't feel like buying Edison's squirrel cage. Amber bulbs had no value if the bulb was hidden. I'm also tired of dipping onions in cherry pickle (which works). This is a great solution for me.

These bulbs are perfect for my outdoor Christmas decorations. I thought they were a very even dark red color. 60 watts worked perfectly. I don't know why a 60w red light bulb is so hard to find in a store. Most I could find in local stores was 40 watts, which isn't enough for my Christmas demo. The only reason I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 is because I thought they were overpriced.

I wanted a soft, amber light for an Asian-style paper shade lamp next to my bed. I tried the Sleepy Baby bulb but it was too bright and too yellow. They were perfect for subdued, sensuous lighting that didn't stop me from staying up late or anything. I would say it's a bit darker in this shade than I would like to read. I'll add a photo or two tonight if you can get a good picture of the brightness.

I needed red lighting for street animals that needed to adjust their night vision. It all started with a small scratch on the coating, but then the coating began to peel off over a large area. There's still enough red coating on the bulb to give it a red tint, but it's mixed with white light shining through. The bulb is still on - again with some red - so this is very important for value purposes. If I had no other choice, I would buy this lamp again.

These bulbs are for use with the Pleasant Hearth 20" Natural Wood Electric Crackle Log. I also ordered a firewood set from Revain and was very happy with this solution for pleasant light without heat in the fireplace. I tried a few solutions when a dial light burned out. The red lightbulb made it look like the entrance to hell. And the orange light bulb is only suitable for Halloween. The amber party light was just right for the pleasant effect of a real fireplace light.

I need opaque red bulbs. For some reason I thought it was a different brand than Bulbright. You are bulbous. Every opaque red bulb I've found has the paint peeling/burnt out in less than a week. I would like to find better quality opaque red bulbs. Update: I bought them again and just put a bulb in the lamp to use at night to avoid blue light. However, this lamp has about half an inch at the bottom of the lamp that isn't even covered in red or frosted, so it lets bright light through.

Great bulbs. You do what you want. They light up when you flip the switch. They disappear when you turn them off.
