Correct, I have a big head at 7-3/4. This hat will not fit a size 7-1/2 which is just too big. I don't know how many veteran kids but if there are any then this is the hat for them. I admit that this is a very nice children's hat.

I always read reviews before buying from Revain. I was concerned about the cap as there have been several complaints about the cap sizing. My take on the size is that I like it. If you have a slightly larger head (or a lot of hair), this hat may seem small to you. For me the size is perfect. The price is a bit higher than some others I've seen but love the style and am very happy with the look and quality.

For a vet this hat was good but hardly suitable. It's very small. I like the color, the material, the embroidery quality is just ok. I wanted to put a pin on the hat but it's too tight for that, but it still barely fits. I love this hat and will wear it many times like a proud Navy veteran!

When assembling this cap, the peak was sewn with a crease. Usually, the curved seam at the junction of the beak and the dome of the hat is half a hexagon, not a regular curve. This prevents the hat brim from being bent. It seems that a quality product is impossible to find.

Runs a bit small, so I prefer a fitted hat to the universal size. That being said I'm very happy with the simple design just saying I'm a Navy veteran compared to everything else I see even on a hat list. I will probably order another color that is in stock.

Great hat. A little pricey but worth it in terms of comfort, fit and customization. I bought this with Prime and saved on shipping. I wanted beige or white but the shipping cost was $25.
