Actually fits in a 30" - sort-of. Maybe, on the diagonal with case. Lot's of shade and the construction of this product is great. Not flimsy by any stretch with the poles being more than sturdy at 1"+. Will tell you, 1st opening is difficult getting the thing put together and opening. After that, it is easy. Instructions are 'iffy' at best. At least that's what I thought. Hope this helped if your liking a palapa.

Took this beach umbrella to Hawaii. It worked great even in some strong winds. We liked the fact that it came with a travel case and it fit in our suitcase.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. I travel all over the world and I’m always looking for the best way to travel with comfort. This umbrella is amazing and I’ve been waiting for so long for them to get back in stock. Just ordered my second one! Just in time for my husband and I to go to Vietnam next week. I highly recommend this umbrella for anyone that likes to travel. Best Buy ever!

Adequate sun protection. Two people can fit under one umbrella. We ordered two umbrellas for a family of four. Fits in a large suitcase for travel. Easy to assemble. Easy to put up on the beach. Only drawback is if it’s windy, it comes out of sand easily, it’s lightweight, hence, 4 stars, otherwise it’s a great product.

I really liked the concept, so I bought two of those. Very portable, small, light and good shade. I loved them initially, they looked well made. However, they did not resist the first day on the beach. The hollow aluminum poles are too fragile. See picture. The bottom sections of both umbrellas bent easily as well as one of the middle sections. One of them, the spikes got stuck. Blew over really easily from the wind, and that was just at the pool. Didn't bring it to the beach, but when I was there, I saw someone with the same umbrella and it was blown flat against itself from the breeze, rendering it useless. The people weren't even using it at that point. I remarked to my friend that I was glad I hadn't bothered to bring it.That said, nifty carrying case, easy to assemble. Would probably do just fine on a day with no breeze whatsoever.

Broke the first time I used it. Refund policy was 30 days so lost all my money. Didn't use it till I took it on my trip which was how's the refund wondering. The very first wind broke the umbrella and I never got to use it. Waste of money.

Haven't used this yet so can only comment on the product itself. It is extremely light and fits easily into the suitcase. It has a lovely bright pattern, is very easy to put up and comes in a very nice carry case. This is exactly what we wanted and can't wait to use it on the beach soon.

Love this beach Umbrella ! Very easy to set up even for a small person like me. Take it out, pop it opend and connect the stand and you're ready to enjoy your beach day. The quality for the price is great. I would recommend this product.

Traveled to Puerto Rico. Fit in medium sized luggage (24/25”). Was very easy to assemble and worked well for two adults. Easy to carry, bag has shoulder strap. Used it daily, so glad I had it! Some of us can only take sun in small doses.

It was ok. Didn’t fit in my carryon. But it’s small. If you reinforce it it’s pretty good. Got the job done for the price. I would recommend it.

Works well; easy to set up. Packs compactly. The pronged base holds it firmly in the sand. Was resistant to some ocean breeze, but we reinforced the pole with sections of PVC pipe and it held up wonderfully even in the strongest gusts.

Brought two of these to Costa Rica with added sand anchors. Very portable, quick to put together and take down. A must to really enjoy the beach for my tender MN skin.

Small but sturdy. Perfect for 1-2 people. They might not let you carry it on the plane though because the bottom is a sharp stake.
