Type of review

I have the Sony proprietary lapel mic and have found that outdoor shots are often windblown. So many times I had to go back and re-record the sound because of the wind. Now I have no more problem with these fluffy cases. The microphone now picks up clear sound even in strong winds. I would definitely recommend to anyone having issues like I mentioned above.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not so great - Microphones and accessories

The description sucks so it's sad I have to join other reviewers to get the measurements. Unfortunately they were too small for my application. I needed this for an overhead mic that was about 1.25" in diameter. Other reviewers mentioned that they were much larger than expected and needed to be placed over the mic's windshield, so I hoped the size was big enough. Unfortunately I was wrong.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Not everything fits

They work very well. I have a headset that I use for .

Works well. I have a headset that I use with a boom microphone for long conference calls. They slipped right after replacing the included foam cap. The foam cover covered my breath but caught a lot of wind noise. This solved that problem. I even punched a hole in the end of one and put it on top of my Apple Beats X and it works great with them too, although that wasn't its intended purpose. I wasn't expecting much as larger fluffy covers are usually required to eliminate wind noise, but so far…

For use with Shure headset outside

They are perfect for what I was looking for! I'm an illusionist and announcer who often performs outdoors, sometimes in strong winds. This reduced wind noise to almost zero! I still hear wind noise only when the wind is strong like a storm. I used to use the standard foam blocker that came with the headset, but I have to say if you're going to be working outdoors with the headset, you're going to need it. At first I was worried it wouldn't fit on the mic. Each cover is large enough for a…

Fits snugly over the Sony ECM-CS3

Here are pictures of how it fits over the popular Sony ECM-CS3 microphone. Struggles, it fits the mic well and is very snug. I will definitely not accidentally fall. I fitted a Sony ECM-CS3 to my car's rear bumper with these end caps to capture exhaust noise during trackdays and I am very happy with the results! Haven't tried just using the mic without those muffs in the same spot to see if they make a difference, but for the price I'd rather have one just in case. Also protects the mic from…
