My son loves this! on Balls

I bought some of these for my son when he was about 10 months old. I also bought a smaller size. He loves them both. They are easy for him to grab and he loves to throw them. Before leaving, he pushed her and chased her around the house. For his first birthday we decided to put the smaller version in gift bags for other young children (all around 10-12 months old) and other moms told me their kids are obsessed with them too. The purchase is definitely worth it!

Pros
  • DEVELOPS MOTOR SKILLS: This high-quality Edushape Sensory Ball for Toddlers and Toddlers (7 inch) helps children develop fine motor skills. These motor skills are developed through grasping, throwing, jumping and rolling this fun sensory toy.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

It's a ball, it bounces. It has spikes. My LO loses interest pretty quickly.

So this ball looks like a big inflatable ball with spikes. He'll definitely jump and it's nice. Don't jump very high. The spikes are not hard and do not hurt when the child "catches" the ball. Basically we roll it back and forth and sometimes bounce. I don't notice that she spends a certain amount of time with this ball compared to other balls and because it doesn't sing or light up my little one loses interest pretty quickly.

Pros
  • SENSORY INTERACTION: The ball's convex surface engages the senses and encourages tactile development in infants, toddlers, infants and toddlers.
Cons
  • Very Expensive

The ball lost air during air-conditioned storage.

First, you cannot choose a color. The yellow we got isn't the happiest or brightest yellow, but we thought we'd agree. We received it around October and tucked it away in the closet until we were ready to gift wrap it for Christmas. A few days before Christmas we were surprised that enough air came out of the ball to slide out of the hole in the box. Obviously there's a leak we can't find and we have to borrow a pump to fill it. In the meantime we gave it to the kid out of the box, not as a…
