If your bag(s) have MOLLE straps, these things add a nice little extension beyond the main pocket to carry those items you might need in a hurry without having to dig around. Phone, power bank, pens, emergency blankets, multi-tool/knife, etc. They're small so you can't fill them with many things, but for critical items, you can do a lot worse for $10. Mine hangs right on the MOLLE strap of my car emergency bag along with the first aid kit.
