When this product was taken off store shelves i was-

Crushed!I couldnt believe Bestine was gone. Gone out of business? No more to be found on store shelves? But why? What was an artist Like me to use now?Toxic chemicals aside there was nothing for me to use going forward so what a fantastic surprise to suddenly find out that the company was resurrected in the product was once again on store shelves or at least available here on ebay. I use Bestine alot on removing Price stickers and residue from them on packages and collectibles. Also to rwmove…

Works graet for my opinion

Works great on taking off overspray and smears of oil based paint from hardwood floors. But use sparingly. Only use on the spots and wipe up quickly. Old man from a wood working store suggested this product. Very flammable and has fumes.

Pros
  • Non-toxic for worry-free cleaning
Cons
  • Can dry out certain types of adhesives, making them more difficult to remove

Bought this for removing a particular glue (the stuff on jar labels) and it's great. I keep finding things to use it for - in particular some Speedball adhesives (not sure the names, but the very nice ones that dry sticky) that I could never find a way to get off.I've tried a lot of similar products, and hate using them because they either leave an oily film that has to be washed, or have a horrible smell (you should avoid inhaling heptane, I'm sure, but most products either smell like gas or…

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on delicate fabrics or materials

Rubber cement works to remove labels

Rubber cement has the primary use of removing or cleaning up rubber cement which it does. It can also remove price tags and labels. I always have a supply of this size to refill a metal dispenser. It was most common in days past for newspaper paste ups before layout apps were invented. I use rubber cement as a good clean paper glue and for packaging. This thinner is also nice to use when you want to clean up drawing paper.

Pros
  • Use for Shapeways product to clean and strip unwanted plastic overprinting
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other types of cleaning solutions

RUBBER CEMENT THINNER

I ALWAYS LIKE TO HAVE RUBBER CEMENT HANDY FOR MAY SMALL JOBS AROUND MY DESK AND FIND THAT THE CAN OR BOTTLE OF CEMENT QUICKLY EVAPORATES IT SOLVENT. I FIND IT IS GREAT TO HAVE A CAN OF SOLVENT AND THINNER AVAILABLE TO REVITALIZE MY CEMENT. THE DRAW BACK IS IT IS QUITE PRICEY AND IN THE LONG RUN I WOULD PROBABLY BE BETTER TO BUY ANOTHER NEW SOURCE OF CEMENT.

Pros
  • A must-have for any handyman or DIY enthusiast
Cons
  • May require additional solvent to completely dissolve certain types of substances

I always keep a bottle on hand.

I have used Bestine for years. It removes rubber cement, glue residue, and tape that neither acetone nor alcohol does. It works well on bumper stickers too.

Pros
  • Comes in a large 32oz can, providing ample supply for future cleanings
Cons
  • May require additional cleaning or rinsing to remove the smell

Science project good for me

Was working on a science project where I needed this and it worked fine. Is a bit expensive ,but their isnt much of an option.

Pros
  • USE ON MANY SURFACES – It is acid-free and safe to use on almost any surface, including most plastics.
Cons
  • Should not be used on open cuts or wounds

Works great. HARD to open.

This product works GREAT! But the lid is very difficult to open for someone with arthritis or carpal tunnel. Then after I screwed the lid on crooked it was almost impossible for me to get back off. I had to clamp the bottle in a bench vice and put my whole weight on it. So be careful putting the lid back on!

Pros
  • Convenient to use with its spray can application
Cons
  • May damage certain types of flooring or surfaces

Great adhesive remover and rubber cement thinner

Actually bought this product to remove the gum left behind by velcro fastening tape. No other solvent on the market but this one removes the sticky adhesive left behind by the tape. Also use it to thin rubber cement (its actual intended purpose)

Pros
  • 202
Cons
  • Can cause damage to certain types of electronic components

The safest, best odorless sticky gum remover!

I can't live without this stuff. Nearly every thing I buy has stickers on it, that leave gum residue when I peel them off. This solvent has barely any odor at all. It is NOT like "Goop-Off" which has a strong smell. I use this to remove sticky/gum and to final rinse parts when degreasing. I'll clean them first in cheap paint thinner. Then let them drip onto a rag. Then wash them just enough with this to rinse away the smelly paint thinner. Then let dry or blow off with an air gun. This…

Pros
  • So happy to locate this!
Cons
  • May cause damage to certain types of finishes or coatings
