Another good compression bandage

The bandage itself is a good compression bandage. The quality of the clips is far from what it used to be. Clips are bullshit.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great first aid support

The support was really good. I didn't like the little straps that hold the bandage in place. They loosened up further. So I use a safety pin instead...much better.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Something different

Clips can be improved

I've always liked Ace brand elastic bandages. The fabric is tighter woven than other brands. I didn't want to use velcro because I found it caught on clothing. However, the clips are also problematic and have fallen off my son's wrist if I didn't tighten them enough.

Need more healthcare clips

The tape itself is great but I don't know why it only comes with two clips. Other similar products will come with several more. One of the clips fell off so we only had one left. If you clip the bandage apart (I sprained my finger so I didn't have to use the whole pack at once) having only two clips makes it difficult to work with.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Can't remember

White instead of beige and very thin fabric

The two ACE bandages I received are an uncomfortable yellowish white instead of beige and are made of a thinner, more porous material compared to old original ones BD brand ACE bandages. A beige patch is pictured on the packaging, but the color of the patch does not look beige at all. Apparently 3M bought the ACE bandage line and turned it into a pretty inferior product in my opinion. What a pity. The old BD product was excellent. The new 3M product is not.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Ace Elastic Bands

I've been buying Ace Elastic Bands for years and have found them to offer more support than "copy" brands on the market. I was surprised and shocked that they got so expensive. I couldn't buy this brand anymore but I found it online. I was a bit disappointed as this is not the same as what I have bought in the past. However, it offers a little more support than "fakes". Since this isn't a product I've enjoyed for years, I'm giving it three stars.

Pros
  • Nice Packaging
Cons
  • Expandable

DO NOT ORDER TWO PACKS - YOU WILL ONLY GET ONE

Although previous reviews have mentioned this issue, I decided to give it a try as I sprained my ankle and needed an alternative bandage that I had during of the time washing could use the ones i had. Spring. I should have heeded the warnings. In my "two packs" there was only ONE bandage. The bandage itself was ok, but the price is too high for just one bandage. If you do decide to order I would suggest ordering just one bandage unless you are willing to donate extra money.

Pros
  • Great for a small home

. These are from the 1990's and are vastly superior to these

I bought two of these in the 1990's and they are vastly superior to these. Actually, I still use them and they work well. I bought it to use as a backup but because of the cheap plastic/nylon I don't expect to be using it in 20 years. I like the metal clips more than the stretch fabric clips. I still have the ones I bought 24 years ago which shows that if you just keep them on the bandage where they should be and not somewhere else you won't necessarily lose them? I do not know. I can't…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only
