Fitting seems good but for reverse polarity solar panels

This adapter is designed to change from MC4 to SAE. However, while MC4 connectors are primarily used for solar panels, the polarity of SAE solar cables is reversed. Finally, as you can see in this picture, the positive lead of the solar panel connects to the negative black wire of the SAE cable. I fixed this by cutting the MC4 connections and connecting the new MC4 connectors to the correct wires, but it would still be nice if the cable was connected correctly initially.

Good connection but wrong polarity

I installed this connector to adapt my solar panel for use with my RV's pre-installed solar connector. While this seems like an obvious oversight, the polarity and color of the connector are incorrect. The design of the solar panel connectors is such that you cannot connect them with reversed polarity. That is design security. Therefore, it is incomprehensible to the mind how it could be done in reverse. Luckily my solar panel had small positive and negative marks on the wires so I could see…
