I'm not sure if the problem is with the device itself or with the Kirkland batteries that came with it. On the first prolonged use (about 10 minutes) one of the batteries exploded, blowing off the battery's plastic cover and spilling battery acid on my arm and leg. Luckily I didn't get any bad burns as I was able to wipe it off quickly. I recommend taking serious precautions when using this device.
