Good replacement for 2013 LG Monitor

I lost my monitor adapter and spent hours looking for it. I really didn't want to buy a new monitor. My 2013 LG monitor works perfectly and only requires a power cord. I'm glad I bought this adapter. Not only is it longer than the original, it's also smaller!

Exactly what I needed

I had two monitors gathering dust in the closet because I didn't have power supplies for either. They got lost over time. After a little research I came across these and the price seemed reasonable to me so I bought one. I tested it on my two monitors and turned both on. I was very pleased. For a second monitor I have to buy another one.

Killed my LG Monitor

I bought this to replace the OEM power cable as I lost it. Presumably the exact same voltage and all, but after a little less than a month of use, my monitor suddenly started to get dusty. I have no picture at all, only the backlight is on. Now I have to buy a new monitor. I will add photos when I disassemble the monitor to find out what exploded.

The PSU didn't work when started on the home monitor, tried again at work and it works. strange.

Power does not work at startup, you need to turn the monitor on and off for it to work. I bought this power supply to replace a previous purchase that had failed for four months. UPDATE: Took the monitor into the office and used the office computer to test the monitor. The power supply started without any problems. Since I can't pinpoint the problem, I'm rating it four stars.
