I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

The review is primarily about the 4K version, however, there is no separate category for it on the Market, and in terms of pitfalls, it is completely identical to the regular version, so itโ€™s still worth knowing them. The first and main problem is the price. There is only one official dealer selling CamLink in 2022, so any such card bought here is not in it - 100% gray goods. Specifically, mine was identified as the version for the European Union. However, this official has doubled the priceโ€ฆ

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I connected a Sony cx 250 camcorder, a clean signal comes in (without interface elements). At first, the image was with a loop when moving, I fiddled for a long time, it turned out that in the camera settings you can select the resolution that the camera transmits via hdmi. I chose the maximum and everything worked as it should. The delay is minimal, a little more than directly to the monitor via hdmi, I also did not notice the load on the system (i7700, 1070, I use obs). Connected through theโ€ฆ

Cons

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

This device is taken by those who care about the low delay of signal transmission from the camera to the computer. Let me remind you that this is an HDMI to USB interface - it transmits a digital video signal with sound from a source (with HDMI) to a computer (with USB 3.0). Elgato has a number of similar devices (larger size and capabilities) - but they have one important point - signal delay! It may not be important - if you are streaming, then a delay of 2 seconds does not play a role. Inโ€ฆ

  • -Minimum signal delay - we get "live" communication in Skype -Quality of performance and work - Drivers are not needed (I did not find them) -Easy to connect and no extra wires
Cons
  • Remember - only works on USB 3.0! USB 2.0 is recognized, but the video will not be transmitted - I tried it on a 1080p source. With a 720p source, I donโ€™t know how it will lead - it would be nice to try. In principle, taking a calculator in hand, you can estimate how much data is pumped per second. For 1080p, this is clearly more than the capabilities of USB 2.0.

you get what you pay for. Elgato... smashes the price, and if you want to buy right the first time, stick with Elgato. Highly recommended
