This is an amazing ice cream freezer. Robust construction. The electric motor and the handle option ensure that you always have a portion of ice cream ready. The clear lid also helps you know when you're mixing. Great price for a quality item. I just wish we had an American manufacturer that could do the same.

Bought this to give my grandkids a chance to hand roll their own ice cream. The electric drive works very well. I had to find better screws for the handle because it kept slipping, not just once but twice. There is also a clamp for centering the ice can, but it doesn't fit. It doesn't seem to prevent either method from working. It would be a great product if it cost a lot less.

This ice cream maker is so easy to use and clean. We love making homemade ice cream and the kids love making their own flavors. We bought a second one so we can make multiple flavors at the same time. It's good to have a crank and a versatile option so you don't always have to have an outlet nearby. Also, it's necessary for us as we're going offline in a few months. I would recommend this ice cream maker to anyone.

My high expectations were replaced by some disappointment as some of these devices are CHEAP. The hand mixer, in particular, is made of cheap die-cast metal with plastic gears. I'd rather assume it can't handle the big churning of thickened ice cream you have to do since the electric motor isn't powerful enough to fully push the ice cream mixture through. Otherwise it makes 6 quintals of ice cream in the US, which is very nice. I used my own recipe and not one of the recipes that came with this
