Wow, good thing! - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I bought this nifty little item to see if I could salvage a hard drive from an old laptop I was planning to throw away. I was glad this case works great! Simply plug in the drive and connect the included cable to any USB port on your computer - no power cord required. It's very easy to install and I reformatted it in one click for a completely clean drive. Works like clockwork! I now have a 500GB portable external hard drive to back up thousands of vacation photos. Good item!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Very expensive

AMAZING AND CHEAP SSD HDD ENCLOSURE

These are very amazing little enclosures, nice and cheap, one morning before sunrise I assembled the SSD HDD literally in the dark. I opened the box. , figured out how to open this suitcase, just by touch. I put the SSD in, it fit perfectly, put the cover on, plugged in and formatted. Cheap and easy. It hits 250MB per second on the Black Magic speed test, which is pretty good for $12. My kit included a USB3. I bought two of these to have a spare. I might have to buy another SSD for a backup :-)

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Nothing

I was looking for a Mac compatible hard drive enclosure that can also be used on a Raspberry Pi. Stupidly, I bought an Orico external drive enclosure and found that Eluteng and Orico are made in the same factory. only Orico, Eluteng is non-standard model. Do yourself a favor - BUY ELUTENG! - It comes with the original USB 3.0 cable, - It comes with a GOOD drawstring carrying case (Orico doesn't support it), - It supports the UASP protocol (Orico says it does but it doesn't), A 5 STAR RATING IS…

What can I say for 10 dollars. It works.

work like an advertisement. I had several 2.5" hard drives laying around. These are old Seagate drives. Enclosures were USB 1 and 2. Windows 10 no longer recognizes them. I thought they were dead. Only ten bucks, I have four of them. What you know they all work! I have two USB 3.0 Micro and two USB 3.0 C. The Micro seems to work better. I'm using an APANAGE 11 port hub and the Micro version seems to work better. Version C seems fine To work with the hub, it may take a bit more power as the hub…

Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

This is a great case that allows you to turn a loose 2.5" hard drive (laptop hard drive) into a working external hard drive. It can be difficult to open the case for the first time, so keep calm and take your time. I also suggest that you use a screwdriver and remove the circuit board and attach it to the hard drive as it is tight. Of course, don't forget to replace the screws and close the case and you're good to go. There is a blue LED indicator that brightly shows when the drive is being…

Love it! Excellent speed and solid construction.

I originally ordered a Unitek case that didn't work with Windows 10 so I bought that instead and I'm very glad I did. It has a smaller footprint, very solid construction (made of plastic), high quality circuitry ideal for 2.5" drives, a decent length cable, eco-friendly packaging, a very clean appearance, and a nice blue light accent that's easy on your eyes not harm or disturb. Most importantly, the data transfer rate is extremely fast even with a mechanical hard drive. I had a couple of hard…

Form & Function: Hard Drive Enclosure

Well I have nothing to add to the other reviews. I just wanted to collect positive numbers because this little thing is so cool. I'll admit that I was "the kind of person" who would take a bare hard drive and plug it in to use as an over-glamorized, fairly large flash drive. Yes, I have. So I decided to break the case before I did any real damage, but I'm lazy (didn't want the hassle, no tools), cheap (didn't want to spend real money) and impressionable (hence the clear case). This little guy…
