🕰️ Emerson SmartSet Alarm Clock Radio: AM/FM, Dimmer, Sleep Timer, .9" LED Display - CKS1900 Review

I have owned an automatic watch from the same manufacturer for several years. It works perfectly and I just like not having to worry about it when daylight saving time changes or the power goes out. When I saw this for sale I couldn't resist. I wish the display could be made a bit dimmer than it is on the lowest setting, otherwise no complaints. When I plugged it in, it installed itself and I haven't had to touch it since. I look forward to many years of never having to set my watch again!

After years of struggling with the old buttons on my alarm clock, I decided I needed a digital tuner. This one seemed quite large and still is. This is the best alarm clock! I was so impressed when I hooked it up. Little did I know it would set the correct time, date, month and even year by itself! Crazy! This clock cannot set itself from an external time source such as WWVB Atomic Clock Radio in Fort Collins, Colorado or RDS data from FM radio stations. This is another example of crazy marketing trying to trick consumers into thinking they're getting something special. "SmartSet" simply means a factory preset time, and a small coin cell battery keeps track of time when not connected. Had to search a lot, both locally and online, to find clock radios that offered AM radio. This one was reasonably priced and had "revain recommended" in the description, so I used that as the deciding factor.
