Opening the case takes some effort and can be easier, but you only have to do it once. When my SSD was screwed on, everything worked great. This is much faster than the average portable hard drive. The bag is small enough to easily take with you on the go. It feels solid so the SSD is protected. I like the 2 USB-C cables that are included.

Great case, cable and screwdriver included! What offer! Pulled out of the box, opened and installed my drive. 1-2-3 files transferred within 5 minutes of opening an Amazon envelope. The aluminum feels comfortable and transfers files quickly. I averaged 128MB/s for a 9GB file over a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port. Adequate speed for what I need and speeds may vary depending on buffer size. I had over 200MB/s in the beginning but I suspect the disk buffer was full and clogging it. Building A+.

I used it as main storage for my Raspberry Pi 4B+. It worked great until one day it just died. He sat in my ventilated frame, didn't move and just died. The drive inside was fine, but the Pi crashed badly and I had to replace the case to get the system working again. I replaced it with a more expensive case that hopefully won't break anytime soon.

M.2 drives are fairly new and hard to find to plug into USB sockets. This case works great and is very easy to set up. The converter hasn't compromised the up to 16x speed that M.2 delivers. The package was delivered on time and includes all the accessories needed to set it up and use it. This is a good product and I recommend friends or family to try it.
