No tools required - computers and accessories

So easy to fit my new drive into it; it was immediately used as a backup disk. Slide it, insert a disc, close it. Plug in one of the included cables (USB or USB-C) and you're good to go.

Pros
  • Great value
Cons
  • Neutral

Good case best under Computer Accessories & Peripherals

It's a cute little device. Throw away the 4 little feet, the unit I received uses a latch instead of feet to hold the SSD card. The slider is only released in one of 4 possible options. Locate the latch bracket in the end of the case. I added a Crucial PCIe 2TB card.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Update Availability

Slim M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure

Enclosure works well with a Sabrent USB 3.1 hub connected to my 2009 Mac Pro. The case has two rows of LEDs that change color quickly, creating a kind of mini light show. In general, a very pleasant device.

Pros
  • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Note the plastic tab for 80mm discs.

I would give it 5 stars. But to use 80mm discs it's not a screw but a plastic tab that seems to come loose after a few disc changes. No problem with two smaller drives as they have screws. Include a screwdriver for 80mm discs.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

VERY slow case, much smaller than advertised

Bought this case for my NVMe drive. Rated 3k R/W and worked as expected internally on mobo. Once I moved into the case (with thermal paste) and the installation was really easy and tool-free, the speeds immediately seemed wrong. When testing with the BlackMagic Disk Speed app, I got speeds below 100 R/W. Slower than my USB 1 drives! Confirmed it wasn't NVMe, it was definitely a substandard USB-C enclosure. skip it

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Fading

Nice case with some flaws.

Pretty aluminum case with multicolor LEDs but poor heat dissipation. The thermal pad is difficult to install as it is not pre-installed, there are no instructions on how to add it. If your SSD is full size then the notch that holds it is not properly designed, if pressed lightly it will touch the circuit board which can be dangerous for the SSD if it touches the circuitry. See attached photos. Otherwise this is a good case. I will update the rating after doing read/write testing.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Don't remember

Works quite well

This is my second USB-C to PCIe M.2 SSD adapter. I spent a few minutes pairing the SSD and this adapter. It works well and is easy to install. It showed 1023 MB/s read and 983 MB/s write on my Lenovo T-470S PC. specify orientation. The thermal pad is very convenient, you need to install it to avoid overheating during large file operations.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

Looks cool but acts like an idiot.

I give this product 2 stars because it looks pretty cool and feels pretty solid. Unfortunately, 2 stars is the highest score. I have a PNY and Samsung NVME external drive, as well as a 512GB PNY CS900, a 256GB Samsung Evo and a 512GB Vulcan G 2.5" drive in external enclosures. I'm using a 256GB Kingston NVMe that erases 1GB/s well on both and deployed it in this case. Now I'm using USB 3.1 Gen 1, so I know my Avery max is around 480Mbps for both. have 350/250 MB/s. So I think it's ok, but try…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
