Not 18 AWG for A/V accessories

The wire says it's 18 AWG and the outer plastic sheath is the right size, but if you strip the wires you can easily see that it's 20 AWG. So it won't handle as much current as it should and might even melt/burn from the small wire used.

Pros
  • PCI EXPRESS POWER CABLE: Standard 6-pin connector for connecting to power supply, other 8 (6+2) pin connector for connecting to GPUs.
Cons
  • Available in white only.

Powering an 8-pin GPU?

I received mine yesterday and tested it on a breakout board. It only seems to power 6-pin connections to 6-pin connectors. All attempts from 6-pin (on the power supply) to 8-pin (on the GPU) did not work. Does anyone else have this problem? I tested it on two different GPUs.

Pros
  • 6 Pin to 8(6+2) Pin: One end is a standard 6 pin connector, the other end is an 8(6+2) connector.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Looks cheap for accessories and consumables

Some images are misleading and do not correspond to the product. . The cables are 12.5 inches long, so be aware of that before you buy. The overall appearance and quality is poor, seems cheap, but I haven't had a long usage test to give a proper rating, but that's my first impression.

Pros
  • FOR GRAPHICS CARDS ONLY: Designed for graphics cards, will not work with motherboards.
Cons

not "extension cord " as stated in the title.

The product is correctly described in the product description"6 pin male to 8 (6+2) male PCI Express adapter power cable". As mentioned in a review, there are currently no "Other Products" images displayed for this product. Maybe longer than this! They will work on these HP Server shared-slot PSU breakout boards. Use them in an installation for the Mining.

Pros
  • 6-pin power supplies ONLY: Compatible ONLY with CoolerMaster and Thermaltake 6-pin power supplies, NOT compatible with EVGA, Corsair and Antec power supplies. Please check your power adapter before purchasing.
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model
