Works well had to drill a hole for wires

Sticking wires once I attach them to the tailgate of my 2008 f150 Super Cab. I had to drill out the ends but that was 6 months ago when I did it; I don't remember the size of the drill. You should also lube your fasteners while you're there, thinking it's wd-40 or something thicker. The job isn't difficult, but it will take a couple of hours, especially with drilling out the ends.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Some difficulty

These products are suitable for Ford pickups that use cable locks.

This item was purchased to repair the tailgate latches on my F150 pickup. The original plastic cable lugs have fallen apart. It would cost me hundreds to replace them. With this product I was able to fix door latches for about $25. The product worked great, so congratulations to the engineers who created it. Thank you for this inexpensive solution to the problem. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully.

These things are absolutely amazing. We paid 21

These things are amazing. We paid 21.99 for them and my husband was able to fix 2 rear doors on my son-in-law's Ford truck that would not open. The dealer wanted to make a lot of money which cost us 21.99 and they have plastic. They are metal and last a long time. They are very well made and relatively easy to assemble. My husband used them to fix 3 different cars for family and friends. You have a long life. None of us have returned yet.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence

great body and interior product

Just ordered these for my car. Definitely saved me a lot of money! Easy to install and fit well. My homebuilt driver's door didn't open properly due to a design flaw in the wire ends (perhaps a lot of us here had issues with the door wires on our F150s). And I was surprised to find that the little plastic cable ends (eyelets) that held the cables in latches at either end had crumbled and turned to dust. This procedure requires some additional tools which are mentioned in the guide (detailed…

Great product, great price, easy repair.

I ordered this product after both rear doors of my 2005 F150 Supercab would not open. So I did a little research to find out that these original parts are plastic and will deteriorate over time rendering the doors unusable. They will definitely solve the problem. It has a bit of calibration, but it's easy enough to grapple with with a few YouTube videos. Since then there have been no more problems with the doors. It's a good thing it's made from our billet aluminum and not plastic which will…

Now I will no longer recommend buying a Ford - how to fix it

For a long time I've been telling everyone what a crap GM and Chrysler are doing by saying that Ford is the best domestically engineered after this nightmare , which will end. In this case, when the door opens, remove the latches because you will never be able to open it again. My product was a 2004 Pleasurer Way E350 with 8000 miles on it. Side door I bent the cables to open it. The bottom of the door is filled with granulated Chinese plastic from the original ends of the cables. The rear…

Much better than the factory junk

I bought these while trying to fix home made doors on my 2000 F-150 King Cab. Simply put, they worked great. What You Get: Multiple machined slotted tips. 3 are for cable ends accessible from the main door, 1 has an elongated end used specifically for the top latch. A few pointers: 1: Replace all ends once you open the panels 2: Remove the top panel first. It just pops out but be careful with the sliding windows - 2 bolts per side3: Remove the 2 bolts and 11mm nut holding the lower fairing…
