EnGMOLPHY Compatible With IPhone 12/13Mag-Safe Base Plate Review

This item works exactly as advertised. The magnets are stronger than I expected. It is easy to put on and take off, but don't worry at all that it will fall off suddenly. 1 star deduction for the price. That's expensive for what is essentially a magnetic ring.

I have now bought two of these devices, one with a PopSocket and the other with a ring stand. This was a game changer for me. I usually buy cases with a ring holder but now with this magnet I can pair it with any MagSafe case or even use it without a case on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. This is the way to advance.

I bought this because the reviews said it had a strong magnet. It doesn't disappoint! I have a MagSafe case and the magnet (with my PopGrip) stays in place (see video). I love it. Easily detachable for charging with my Apple MagSafe charger. Better than the spring-loaded PopGrip holder which is very difficult to move before loading. I like it.

I thought a magnetic PopSocket would be a great solution - it holds the iPhone securely but can be easily removed to use other MagSafe accessories. Well, it comes off easily... with almost any flick of the wrist or pressure. I often drop my phone, which defeats the purpose of PopSocket. Maybe the official PopGrip for MagSafe is safer. Might give it a try when it starts.

I was looking for some kind of magnetic grip or ring to use with my iPhone 12 Pro Max's MagSafe. I stumbled across this and decided to try it in combination with the standard phone ring holder I have found at Revain. As you can see in the video, the adhesive carrier ring fits this magnetic plate perfectly and easily supports the weight of my massive iPhone 12 Pro Max housed in a MagSafe-certified TPU case. Works well without case. With a case, especially one like mine, where the back isn't MagSafe, you'll need to get magnetic rings like mine. Very strong magnet but requires direct contact with metal or the MagSafe ring on the back of the phone to stay in place. The last thing you want to do is have PopSockets on that platter and the platter doesn't have a good grip on your phone. It would be great if the plate was maybe 30% thinner. It seems to stick out too high, but that may be because my case…

This was a big disappointment! So where do I start. If you want it to stick you have to remove the protective cover! And risk dropping your phone so you can comfortably hold the pop socket! And that's only if you want to use a wireless charger. If you charge your new I Phone 12 with a charging cable, you can just use the regular pop socket on the back of the case. That's a waste of money. Don't buy it immediately!

Exactly what I wanted. It's a thin sheet of aluminum(?) that fits the Apple Magsafe case perfectly. I attached a pop socket to it and it holds up great. Adhesion is strong. I have to shake the phone (12pro max) vigorously to break the magnetic mount. With normal use I don't see the magnet coming loose. I'm hoping they make a Ram mount compatible version as the magnetic mount seems strong enough to deal with the kind of turbulence you experience while driving.
