Lightweight and firm

Ordered these blocks after reading reviews of multiple brands. These are firm and have no chemical (or other) odor. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • This is just what I needed for my yoga workouts. It’s very easy to hold and carry around.
Cons
  • Foam material can attract lint and dirt

solid block for my opinion

I have two yoga blocks at home, and this one is definitely the better of the two. It has more weight to it than my block from another big brand, which makes it a lot more stable to use for poses. I think I will replace my other block with another one of these.

Pros
  • good product
Cons
  • Limited textures or surface designs may be uncomfortable for some users

Nice foam block on my review.

This is a really nice foam block, good for home practice or taking to class. They are light, but have a real solid feel to them.

Pros
  • Great blocks for yoga and stretching. Highly recommend.
Cons
  • Can easily compress under heavy weight or pressure

Excellent product! for my opinion

I had previously purchased blocks at a discount store, thinking that it made no difference what kind of blocks I had for my yoga class. Was I ever wrong! The discount blocks were very unsteady and I could not use them for the more difficult balancing postures. I saw that my instructor used Hugger Mugger blocks herself and although she suggested I purchase them from another site, I always find I get good prices and good service from Ebay. The blocks work great! They are the right size and…

Pros
  • Amazing!
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for deep stretches or holds

I live for these blocks!

I don't have much to go on since these are my first yoga blocks, however I can tell you that these are worth the money I paid. I practice a few times a week, and for certain poses, these blocks are a must! While they are not very sturdy and therefore not as safe for inversions (balancing on top of the blocks), they do the job quite well for a foam yoga block.

Pros
  • Latex-free
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those looking for a more challenging yoga practice

Professional grade: Firm, yet comfortable.

I had bought other blocks-- the reviews said they felt firm and yet comfortable… but! I used them and hated how soft they were. I showed them to my yoga teacher, and he said they were too soft to be very useful, and suggested I get Hugger Mugger. Hugger Mugger is about twice the price of the other blocks I got, but then, I feel the others were a complete waste of money! The Hugger Mugger ones feel *secure* under me when I put weight on them yet they are not uncomfortably hard. I get the feeling

Pros
  • Best yoga blocks ever!!
Cons
  • May not be ideal for travel due to its size

Lasting supporr - my new review

Needed a second block for home practice. Hugger Mugger is the way to go. 1st one is 16 years old and shows no wear. Happy with the quality

Pros
  • Exactly what I was looking for!
Cons
  • Foam material provides less stability and grounding than cork or wood options

Studio quality block

This is a great block by hugger mugger-very solid and durable. I have looked at ither brand blocks and they all seem to have a bit of give or are made from some cheap material. The 4 inch platform is perfect for sitting on during short meditation/pranayama or for added height in seated poses.

Pros
  • Great product. High quality and very solid
Cons
  • Can be slippery if hands are sweaty

Great and Versatile

Yoga blocks are pretty much a necessity for many various forms of yoga, and more so when you are beginning to help maintain positions. I had started with using books since I did not know about blocks to begin with. I decided to buy real blocks. I was looking for something that was light weight and sturdy, so purchased Hugger Mugger since I read so many good things about them. They live up to their reputation and have been a nice addition to my workouts. I keep a couple around when working out.

Pros
  • Perfect for our range of motion class.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with back injuries or conditions

Very Sturdy high quality yoga block!

My physical therapist recommended the hugger mugger yoga block for my yoga practice. It is a high quality yoga block that is very sturdy. It is not a cheap foam block that will break down over time. The cheap foam blocks are hard to balance with and fall over easily. This is the sturdiest yoga block I have ever had and I am very happy with It so far!

Pros
  • love it for yoga
Cons
  • Can't be easily transported for outdoor yoga sessions

Simply Superior for my opinion

I have learned that buying the hugger mugger brand is worth the money. These are sturdy, do not mush at all when supporting your weight and have a nice heft to them. I have tried a few other brands and should have just bought these in the first place. I learned the lesson with my bolster, too!

Pros
  • Made nice, good material.
Cons
  • Too bulky to fit in a small yoga bag

Durable firm block for use with Yoga and similar activities

This is firm sturdy block that is great to use for additional support during activities like Yoga or Tai Chi. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter who teaches Yoga. She is currently 4 months pregnant and is using blocks to provide additional support. She is very happy with the quality and durability of the blocks.

Pros
  • Solid lightweight block. Performs as advertised.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean and sanitize
