I bought this product and kept it for my own use. I was actually looking for a low shelf for my office to store things under the window and this was perfect for that. I would put shoes on what it's for, but I wouldn't sit on it. These are very flimsy parts for a shelf and difficult to assemble yourself. The instructions didn't work. It's a nice piece of furniture, but it's smaller than I expected considering the "storage box" is less than an inch deep. There is hardly any space for bulky items such as gloves or hats.
