Reliable tool for the job

This reliable crimping tool gets the job done. I was also able to place one side of the handle in a vise, which made crimping in bulk easier.

Pros
  • One-year trial
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

MUCH, MUCH better. - Connectors and Adapters

. Mainly because I keep losing the yellow die. I always found it a bit annoying that I can't just find it somewhere else. (Maybe I didn't search hard enough) Luckily Eowpower has one when the yellow cube is firmly attached to the tool. I believe you can still take it off, but it's way, way better than the previous ones I've gotten. although everything else is pretty much the same.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I used to buy a couple of these IDC crimping tools for the old

Inconvenient to use, especially in tight spaces.

Bought this IDC crimping tool on a model train. It proves large and difficult to maneuver in tight spaces, such as B. under the bench of a model railway. You also need to position the IDC correctly to get enough force to crimp without the tool locking. Luckily a previous review mentioned tape holding the plastic insert in place so it only fell out once. Of course Murphy made him jump behind the closet! It works, but I have to resort to my trusty channel locking pliers for tight spaces.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Drill Kit

Bought it because of the reviews.

This might be the worst tool I have ever bought. I've seen a dozen or more vendors promoting this tool and every one of them reportedly had high ratings. The tool is held together with cheap rivets that fall out. There are no levers, so you have to push so hard your wrists hurt. Rubber and plastic handles twist and slip off when squeezed. I tried connecting multiple 34-pin and 50-pin IDC connectors, but none of them worked. The 50-pin connector doesn't even fit the tool. Incorrect turntable…

Pros
  • Something above
Cons
  • Minor issues
