Bought these as Christmas gifts. The boys loved her. There are small pieces, so I only recommend them for older children. Make sure they are used in a place where small children cannot reach them.

I bought 3 sets for my twin grandchildren as I grew up with blocks. Parts are much smaller, especially bolts and nuts. My grandchildren were disappointed with the set and didn't want to finish it. They kept putting together complex Lego sets, but the builder was useless.

I bought this out of nostalgia because I remembered my dad's old Meccano sets. I was quite surprised how bad it is for a number of reasons: - surprising amount of plastic parts - wheels don't spin, they fall off easily; Chains Won't Spin - Cheap nuts and bolts; some of them stick - some parts are not the same color as on the box. Calling it ten steps a day, I threw away the plastic parts and put the metal hardware in the parts bin. There is no way I would give this to a child. Forcing a child…
