Don't waste your money

I bought 6 of these and used them to load my side by side and 4 wheeler. 2 out of 6 did not retreat as intended. The spring is very cheap and fails. I charged the other 4 that worked once and on my first ride 2 of them only half charged. They are not meant to be used in real life. I had trouble tearing the strap and then pulling it back. I've been using ratchet straps for a while so don't waste your money, I'm hoping someone builds something similar that actually works. I like the idea if they

Good price for the hardware

I use them all the time, they both have the problem of the ratchet skipping when I try to tighten them so I have to hold the latch to prevent it from skipping. Still, once tightened, they hold tight and are easy to remove so they don't get tangled. The webbing is identical in construction and thickness to the material of the harness - I thought it would be thicker than most 2" webbing but I think it would be quite a large diameter once retracted. Super durable for my purposes and less likely to

Modern Day 'Ole' Reliable'

I've been using my set for about 6 months now and these straps have probably had more abuse than most other ratchet straps. I overload living shit with these things since I use them to force things to move, not bind them. I've burned them, thrown them, tied them to things they shouldn't be holding on to. I've done more dangerous things than I care to admit because I trust them so much. They have never let me down and the feed mechanism still works perfectly. My colleagues take them all theโ€ฆ

Great, but not for long.

The first few uses were great, they were quick and easy for one person to tie and the straps no longer got tangled in storage. But they quickly started having problems after a few uses. Now they stay put with almost every use and I usually have to struggle to unlock them and get the cable to retract. I would have given fewer stars, but the first few uses worked great and were worth a lot by my standards (on one of those occasions when I was covering a trailer during a snow storm). The smallerโ€ฆ

MOM HOOTIE SAYS YOU ARE THE BEST!

The big disadvantage of these straps is that they "stick". Well, just spray some lube on the ratchet and the problem is solved with the same incredible durability. I use them to tie my Mazda CX3 to an aluminum trailer. I will not buy any other product again. The band will wear out with frequent use. At that price and Revainf or more I'll just buy a new kit. Caution: Spray the harness sets the second time you use them. They collect street dirt. ALSO FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT SAY THAT THE RED BUTTONโ€ฆ

Great concept, but short-lived and expensive.

I have 8 of these and they work great. Unfortunately the ratchet can be short lived and the material the straps are made of is not very strong. So if you only use them occasionally and you absolutely need to protect them from the elements, they might be best for you after sliced bread. The mechanism must also be lubricated, possibly with a dry lubricant. Keep in mind that they definitely don't fall into the same category as the higher tier yellow cargo straps, but of course the yellow optionsโ€ฆ

Small Handle/Ratchet Lever - Minimum Force

This strap's width, length, and retractable features are great for many reasons! Retractable mechanisms are easy to operate - pull the web to the desired length and start rotating until it stops, or as the manufacturer claims. Handle/lever too small, no lever. To tighten the straps, you must use a ratchet-type pry bar. Example: Securing the SXS while being towed idle in the toy truck garage, with the tires on the dovetail, you cannot grab the handle/lever far enough to properly and securelyโ€ฆ

It works well but will it last without breaking?

update later. I've had them for a long time and have used them many times. They are very strong and strong, but there is a trick to untie them. The red button you press to turn them off no longer works. You need to insert something next to the wound roll and pry it out. I use needle nose pliers on my Gerber. It's hard to explain, but if you just look at how it works, you'll understand. Without something to pry it off I can't free it. I would buy them again. Very strong. BUT you need to know how
