📱 ESR HaloLock Universal Ring: Magnetic Wireless Charging Conversion Kit for iPhone 12/Samsung Galaxy - 2-Pack Review

I was skeptical as I wasn't sure it would work with my new plastic phone case (preferably Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3) and non-magnetic wireless charger, but great. Although it's a metal ring, it doesn't interfere with my regular wireless charger in any way, it stays on the case even when I use it with a magnetic charger. Love it, would buy more if I had more phone cases lol.

Definitely a quality product. The rings are metal, fit nicely in my pocket and match my magsafe charger and wallet perfectly. The magnetic attraction is quite strong. It mounts to the chassis from the outside and is easy to align with the included positioning hardware. The only small downside is that the product is a bit thick. You will definitely notice it when holding the phone.

Great for turning cute suitcases into MagSafe cases. But pay attention to the correct orientation! If you don't do this, it won't work. For my iPhone 12 Pro Max the template wasn't accurate so I straightened it out (before removing the protective film). On my phone, the ring goes right around the Apple logo like most iPhones do. My only complaint is the cost. You get 2 for the same price as 6 or more from others.

The mounting template should help you to attach the ring to the housing in the ideal place. The thicker your case, the more out of position the ring will be. So if you have a case next to the charging port that is say 1mm thick, your ring will be set 1mm lower. I came up with a very complicated way to place the magnet in the right place. Don't expect a template to do the job right. Now that it's installed, it works beautifully.

Use the QR code and watch the video, it makes the installation much easier. I bought this for my favorite non-Magsafe case so I can use it with a MagSafe pop socket holder and a MagSafe vent mount. The popsocket holder stuck to it like glue. This magnet is strong! I'm sure the car won't have any issues either - I'll update when I do. Plus, it comes in a pack of two, so if you mess up the first one, you've got another chance.

Thicker metal than desired. I've tried spots in the case that don't work as well as the phone's built-in MagSafe. This means that my case only allows the magnet to hold slightly, so that it is not possible to use the magnet safe. Using this ring inside the case gives exactly the same results I expected but am still disappointed. Why?
