TERRIBLE. DO NOT BUY

This seller appears to have copied and pasted the description from elsewhere. Teflon? NO. Just a bit. I've used REAL PL259s and I know how they should look and feel. It's not near. Teflon central insulation in white. These connectors have brown center insulation. This melts fairly easily and allows the center pin to move. The fit is loose and the construction sucks. Never buy this junk from this seller. If I could put negative "stars" I would. Revain should be ashamed to let this seller sell on

These connectors will work but be careful

Soldering the shield to the connector body can overheat the connector body and melt the center contact insulator as well as deform the connector body itself. Apparently, the metal case doesn't stand up to high temperatures for very long. I had to use my small soldering iron to solder the braid to the connector body. I also noticed that a bit of extra solder on the outside of the tip helped make contact with the socket. I had to add some solder to some wires to ensure a solid connection.

Wrong size, not suitable for soldering

These connectors are sold for RG8X but are larger. The screw part is very loose on the cable and the inner sleeve of the pin is slightly smaller than the middle dielectric. You can actually pinch the foil shield on the RG-8X's center dielectric into the center contact and create a short! If you then start soldering the shield to the connector so that there is another strain relief next to the center conductor, the connector's plating refuses to accept the solder. I used the highest heat and…
