I have a terrible reaction to non-gold or silver jewelry. But there are so many pretty pieces of jewelry that aren't gold or silver, and they're MUCH cheaper. The smell is similar to nail polish but surprisingly not very strong. I could use it indoors for several hours. I felt compelled to write this review because there seems to be a lot of confusion about this product, particularly the application process and how long you leave it on your issue have to. I have used this on several pieces of jewelry with my 2 micron gold plated pieces and the application went very smoothly. Appears to fill in a few blemishes on the gilding and shavings of the previous clear coat. I can't say anything about the quality and durability yet. But it seems their number 1 complaint…
