I use the Pinkalicious shampoo bar for normal hair and have been using this bar for years now. I have tried several different shampoo bars including Lush & Kitsch brand bars, amongst others. This one is by far my favorite. The negatives I have found with other shampoo bars: waxy build-up, leaving a squeaky feeling (for lack of a better description), and scent. Great concept, but it's too heavy for traveling. I purchased this to decrease my liquids amount. But the bar is so heavy by the time you add weight also for conditioner, body soap, and face wash it's not worth it. So I had the bright idea to cut the bar down so I only brought the amount I thought I would need. welp, the bar crumbled and most of it is now shavings. I have never used a shampoo bar but have been trying to ditch plastics where I can. I did a decent amount of research, and at this price point I like it so far! I’ve been using it with the conditioner bar for "normal” hair for about 2 months now. Here’s what I found:- my hair was greasy for the first few days- then my hair was dry for a few days- then I got the hang of how to use it, and it’s been pretty great!Thinking I may try a different conditioner bar next time to see if that helps…

Small enough to fit nicely in the bathtub area, but lasts a long time. Suds up well, rinses out just fine. I've even skipped the after shampoo conditioner.
