Love how the curls frizz. I don't like that it doesn't have an auto shut off in case I forget and leave it on (hello ADHD). But it's probably my favorite straightener I own. And I have many. It replaced my original Qi and that's saying something! Just don't touch the hotend and you'll be fine. I've heard complaints, but who does? - It would be like people complaining that the metal end of a curling iron gets hot; it's not the part you touch with your hand. I'm a fan.

I bought one of these from the vendors you see at the mall. I hate this. They advertised it as a steamer and it doesn't do anything like that. To try to straighten your hair, you need to turn the heater up to full blast. And the plates are really small. For the price, this product should be a lot better.

I've used this maybe 12-15 times in total. It always seemed to pull on my hair and didn't slide smoothly between the plates like my qi did. Today I used it and when I pulled my hair through it made a grinding noise. When I then opened the straightener, the plate was broken and just fell out. A piece of 300 degree ceramic plate fell into my shirt and burned me. Terrible product. just chic
