Cuts great, but be careful of the depth required.

Easily slides through a granite countertop. The tabletop is a little less than 1-1/8 thick and I had to tap the connector out with a light tap of a hammer. I would say the max depth would be 1 inch. Also make sure you are straight and square bored. Still looks new. Very happy with the product.

Pros
  • High quality diamonds to last
Cons
  • So far so good

The trick is not to use the hammer setting on the plaster drill. Just use the normal drill mode by spraying water on the drill. This cuts through the plaster of thought with little effort. Looking at the wear and finish of the drill I would say this is a very good and economical tool for home use. For contractors, I think you need to buy at least one backup

Pros
  • 1 inch diameter
Cons
  • Not sure

A good cut, but a dubious start.

I bought this saw to cut holes in plaster and batten walls for 13:1 speaker wire routing. The cutting element of this hole saw is efficient enough to get a clean cut, but: there is a hard plastic guide as there is no pilot crown yet, again, as I understand it, the concern cares about outfitting their design department with sheepskin, not with People from the school of practical common sense. The supplied instructions are quite small in all dimensions. The only way I've found to make it work…

Pros
  • Drill clean and accurate holes in ceramic, marble, glass, fiberglass and hardboard
Cons
  • Flimsy
