If you're cheap when buying crickets (or don't have a local pet store to get you fancy crickets), half a container of these inferior crickets fits in comfortably. I have several sizes of Lee's cricket pen and they don't even come close to the quality of this Exo Terra cricket pen. Both have the same removable vented lids, with one major exception. The Lee feed tubes fit into the UPPER sides of the lid, not the keeper/pen body like the Exo. A BIG minus in removing the entire top and machining 3 separate parts/parts.
