Works as advertised

This seems to work well only gave it 4 stars because the first one I got didn't work but it was replaced quickly with no problems and the replacement works fine.

Solid construction and fast data transfer

Bought this for work to connect devices without an ethernet port and it works so well! It offers fast data transfer and instant connection. The USB hub has solid design and beautiful appearance, compact and convenient. Overall it exceeded my expectations.

Plug and play awesomeness!

This is an awesome device. Was plug and play and had no problems. I've been using it for a little over a month now. My reason for the purchase was to expand my USB hubs closer to my CNC machine in my garage so I could keep the real computer away from dust and debris. Went like clockwork.

Does what it says on the box

I have a record player across from the built in computer in my TV cabinet. I use a computer to record records. I've used long USB cables to connect two devices, but I've had problems. Using it as an extender worked great, no data loss, no connectivity and connectivity issues.

Does what it says - Fixes an issue with USB devices that are too far from the server

I had to extend the USB port from the server to another room in the house that needed a longer cable than normal had USB cable length. I installed a 6A coil. Connected and no problem with a pair of Arduino Unos connected to the server. I'm not exceeding the bandwidth limit, but haven't seen any errors or dropouts for weeks. They aren't cheap but they are metal and very nicely made. I would buy again and recommend

DO NOT USE for audio systems

I used this to extend the USB 2 connection to my Presonus mixer with a 50ft ethernet cable. When I turn on the mixer, a high frequency (about 10 kHz) comes out of the speakers. When you unplug the extension cord, the sound disappears. I've tried powering each device from different outlets, tried using USB cables with filters (ferrite beads), tried different Ethernet cables, and even a 10ft cable, but I get a high-pitched squeak every time .
