Ideal for a wired webcam or GPS.

I used this to power the DVR in a hardwired installation. Works perfectly. I tried it in a cigarette lighter that works with the ignition.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Broadly ok, but...

Ideal for RV's - Power Converters

Bought this for my son in law to add some Wyze cameras inside and outside his RV. That works great. Easy connection and I have one connection for both cameras. Highly recommended in terms of price and application.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Reliability

Unstable supply 3A

I connected this to a Raspberry Pi 3B+ which has a claimed power supply rating of 2.5A. The Pi was not connected to any peripherals or under heavy load but would intermittently report "Low Voltage Detected!" in magazines.

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • Volume

Works as advertised and to the specifications provided.

The voltage conversion is as advertised and works well in my app. Connect to 12V accessory plug and create 2 USB a 5V sources for car accessories. I haven't tested the amperage with two accessories running simultaneously, but both work fine, drawing (up to) 2 amps each.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Arlo Camera Power Supply

I needed a way to power two Arlo cameras that were installed further apart than the standard "long" cable Arlo supplied. I used a standard 12V outlet to power this converter and then connected the Arlo USB cables to the converter. The device is weatherproof (sealed) and has been working great as a converter for some time.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Socket Required

Not enough power

Can't keep up with the power consumption of my iPad mini. I am using a navigation program (ForeFlight) on my plane with a full bright screen and Wi-Fi connected to my ADS-B radio and my iPad battery is slowly draining even when connected to this power port. I need to find a more powerful charging port. My plane is registered as an experimental plane, so it's legal for you all, Karena, to punish me for putting this on the plane. :-)

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Works - Not enough for 2 cameras Wyze v3

It does what it promises but not for me. I used it to power 2 Wyze v3 cameras and it lasted about 24 hours. After that, none of them worked - using troubleshooting, I found I could enable one at a time. (including using a Wyze 6" USB cable). So the converter works, but not for my needs. I was able to find a similar one with a single micro USB output and the same power (15W) and now it seems to be doing its job well.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • There are cons

"Seems to work as advertised,

According to my Eversame USB Digital Power Meter Tester (available/purchased from Revain) it charged my iPhone 8+ at 1.5 amps at 5vdc; and charged my iPad Air 2 at just under 2 amps at 5VDC - within device specs/limits (note: I didn't try to charge my iPad and iPhone at the same time - as that would have exceeded Extractme's 3 amp DC converter limit I've added PowerPole connectors and it's now in my travel kit (ham radio) to charge my iDevices and power an external display in the field.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price
