I needed this because Roku devices are difficult to connect to any speaker unless you connect to their app via Bluetooth. Now I have a cable that outputs sound to the speaker as my monitor doesn't have an audio output. The sound also seems to be perfectly in sync and without delay.

I don't know why there are some complaints about the product, I installed HDCP 2.2 to HDCP 1.4 converter before and it works great. The sound has no lag with respect to the video, the size is very convenient, we'll have to wait and see how it performs over time.

I used this to get audio from my Xbox through the speakers in my RV rather than the tinny, crappy sounding speakers on the TV I had installed. The Xbox is used for everything on the TV - games, DVDs, streaming apps. This quick and easy fix has completely transformed sound quality. I would buy it again.

When used with Chromecast, very flat sound with no mids and lows compared to Chromecast Audio on both powered monitor speakers and HiFi receiver. . It would be nice if you just wanted sound for your TV, but listening to music through decent speakers is a huge disappointment. On the plus side, it works with Chromecast and the new Chromecast with Remote.

Purchased to extract audio from my PS5 and pipe it to PC via Discord. I didn't have enough lives to output 4K. And this model only supports 30Hz. If you can just use your TV's optical output and convert it to 3.5mm with a converter if you want to do that. Otherwise, if you want to extract audio from 1080p at 30Hz, this product is great for that. There is simply no higher resolution
