🔒 ESI Ultra Cap Seal - 1.5" Width x 0.625" Height x 23' Length, EPDM Rubber for Caps Exceeding 200 Pounds Review

I used this to make a seal on a very old aluminum cover that sits on my very old '93 Dodge Ram. There are no leaks at all. The material is easy to process, cut and glue.

I had a lot of material for an 8ft bed (2011 Silverado). I used this for my high altitude camper which is very heavy. This gasket seems quite thick, but at least it keeps water out well and insulates the shell from the curve of my bed. I would recommend this print.

I removed the old seal as directed and prepared the site with the seals provided [witch not enough] alcohol for finishing. Gasket fitted, at 75 degrees. weather, and if it falls off, so knowing what might work, I smeared caulking glue and laid it on an edging board to hold it until the glue dried. Works and no problems.

Maybe I'm missing something but I thought maybe the rubber itself should stick and not the tape after how to remove it as in the pictures SHOW . I flushed the junk product thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and the WORST $40 I've ever spent. Now my time frame is shortened due to a defective product. What happened to ESI? DO NOT BUY!

The O-ring I dreamed of. Surpasses the thin foam tape the body shop used on my truck. Definitely made for heavy tops. Unlike the thin foam tape which couldn't prevent the heavy Gemtop from rubbing against the top of the truck causing paint damage and rusting. Thank you for this wonderful print on the cover.

This sealant is excellent! I put an old (really old - straight) connector on my newer long bed curvilinear Ford F250. The length was enough with one little scrap, and it was thick enough to seal everything well and even lift the whole lid up a bit (which I need for the tailgate to work well with my new tailgate)

Made in the USA - hooray! Great product, very thick (about 1/4 with a 300lb scabbard with gear on top). This rubber is built to last. will no doubt last as long as my shell is on the truck. I've hammered my truck on a few off road trips and the pad between the body and my truck is amazing. Great job for Extruded Solutions. It is totally worth the premium for this American product. I bought several of their other sealers. affordable and good stuff.
