I've used them before and they work great but unfortunately it doesn't work on oil pans that aren't perfectly flat. Cannot be used on Subaru due to raised bearing surface. It won't seal properly. If you know your sealing surface is flat, I recommend this.

I bought this valve for use on a Cat skid steer loader. Engine oil is very difficult to change and runs throughout the car. With this valve, changing the oil is easy and does not bother. However, draining the oil takes time. It certainly helps to warm up the engine well before changing the oil.

Just did my first oil change with this valve on a 2017 2.0 ton Forester. I highly recommend it for a hassle free oil change. Supplied with valve, seal and detachable 3/8 hose nipple which is not included. I bought a $1 clear vinyl tube at the hardware store. It was quick, easy and uncomplicated. Oil change in 15 minutes. Certainly saves time and money. I will add this to all future cars.

My Subaru dealer tightened my oil plug so tight I had to use a pneumatic wrench to remove it. I promised never to visit that dealer again and installed an EZ-108 RH oil drain valve so I could make future changes with little to no hassle. Note that the Subaru Outback (2018) oil drain is well recessed to prevent road debris from getting into the EZ-108 valve, making it a safe and smart alternative to removing and replacing that damn oil plug every time you change it . Well that's it and no problems so far, very easy installation on my 2014 Subaru XV. I chose this valve over the Fumoto valve for several reasons: lever cap, zinc plating, and rubber seal. A word of advice, use the small piece of clear tubing that was provided to drain the water and wrap/melt one end of the tubing to form a cap. The cap for them is a little tricky to find and if you make one out of clear tubing you can see if the valve is leaking from inside the valve or around the valve when it
