Description of Enhanced EZ-Bridge Ultra5 Wireless Bridge – 5GHz, 100Mbps, 250mW

The EZ-Bridge-Ultra5 is a high capacity, 100Mbps, and high power, 250mW, outdoor wireless bridge system operating in the 5GHz unlicensed spectrum. The complete system allows for ultra high bandwidth connections between 2 buildings up to 4 miles or more apart with good line of sight. The EZ-Bridge-Ultra5 creates a transparent bridge between 2 sides and passes all network traffic including VPN and DHCP. You can think of it like connecting a CAT5 Ethernet cable between the 2 points. It is the perfect high capacity plug and play solution for connecting the networks in two or more buildings, internet access sharing, remote video surveillance or remote network access. Multiple EZ-Bridge-Ultra5 units can be connected in a mesh configuration to allow interconnecting more than two sites.

They work great even in rainy weather

We have these rigs in 3/4 mile line of sight (top of warehouse to roof), shoot across the freeway, cell tower nearby, they work perfectly, even in the storm , never missed a beat. We use it to operate PCs, IP cameras and IP telephones.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Clarity

I'm a network engineer for an international hotel chain based in Scottsdale, Arizona. We needed to add more seating to our building, but we didn't have the space. We decided to rent the 4th floor in another building about 0.5 miles from us to solve the housing problem. Due to permits and such we were unable to connect in time from any of the local telecom companies. So I decided to buy this bridge and try it (as a temporary solution). Let me tell you, it works great! I get stable throughput of…

Works as advertised, even in harsh environments.

Very easy installation. Works great on 160m. clear line of sight. There are some powerful communications antennas alongside it, but it still works as advertised. I get 100% speed provided by the ISP. So far, so good. I hope the elements don't kill him. California sun. Update: Ordered on 08/17/2015 So far so good, no problems (04/13/2017).

great results so far

We have used several of these bridges for our clients with great results so far. As expected you may experience issues when the temperature drops below 20-25F but overall this is a great bridge for the price we have made it our standard wireless bridge part.

  • fingers crossed

Great Wireless Bridge

Due to its higher throughput, this setup was purchased to replace another EZ-Bridge deployment. Installing the hardware is fairly easy, although the instructions could be printed out better. For the initial setup, it is better to leave the devices on factory settings, otherwise they may not see each other. Once completed, the web software is very detailed. Our range wasn't very far, so I can't comment on its claimed range. But for our short run we easily achieved higher throughput and the…

This product is that good

This product is that good. I was just looking for this to expand our network to third place and found I bought it in 2014. I've never had a problem so never had to think about it unless I need to buy another pair. They just work. We have snow, hot summers, sub-zero winters and so on. etc. It's amazing that these antennas can last so long without hesitation.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • disappears

Works great.: Wireless Access Points

Works quite well so far. Connected these two babies and magic. The two buildings were networked. We're currently getting 10Mbps down and 15Mbps down. I don't know why, but since we didn't have any other way to bring internet into our building, it's a great job.

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
