These "replacement" filters, although with this model number, are too thick to fit in the holder and sit on the cover. It's just a small but visible difference, so the lid doesn't close and snap into place. They're practically useless.

One review says the seller suggests cutting off some foam but the problem isn't with the foam it's with the plastic case. This filter LOOKS exactly like the one I replaced, but it's too thick and the lid won't close. Do not worry.

My Kenmore Elite 800 series vacuum came with a HEPA media filter, EF-9 #53296 #40195 on the left side. This right filter is slightly larger and barely fits in the slot, and the compartment door won't close. write on it to mark it as such. I sent it back.

I was so happy to find this great deal on two packs of filters that work great in my Kenmore vacuum. What else can I say, the deal is great, the filters do exactly what they should and the price is unbeatable. As for the little cleaning brush that comes with the filters I wasn't impressed but that's ok the filters were my main concern and I found the best deal.

They look the same as regular EF-9 filters, but there is too much foam around the edges and they DO NOT fit properly in the Kenmore Elite 31150 upright vacuum. You cannot close the filter Door. The seller mentioned that I cut off some of the foam and I tried but there is no way to cut it properly without the foam coming off. The foam is needed to seal the filter to the vent or air will escape.

I ordered these exhaust filters to replace the original in my Kenmore Elite 800 series both fly out the back of the vacuum. There are no clips to hold it, just a bit of stickiness. I don't think this filter is a perfect fit in shape or size? I have to send it back. They definitely don't work in the 800 series.
