Type of review

I have a 5 year old Dell XPS 8900 1TB HD 16GB RAM Windows 10 desktop and bought a 256GB NVMe 2280 M.2 SSD (also from Revain) to speed up loading. Even though the motherboard is listed as "One M.2 SSD with RAID 0 Stripe/1 Mirror" I couldn't figure out how to move the drive in Device Manager. Instead of spending more time researching, I bought this (relatively cheap) PCIe to NVMe adapter card. The installation itself was quite simple: insert the SSD into the card and tighten the fastening screw…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use

  • Annoying

Great card and great price. Highly recommended.

This is a great card, well made and works perfectly in my application. I have a FreeNas server with an ASUS P10S-I server motherboard. I used all SATA ports for storage and a USB drive for the OS as the M.2 slot on the motherboard disabled one of the SATA ports I needed for storage. I had many problems with the Samsung USB sticks I used to boot the operating system. Over time, they deteriorated and stopped working. Mirroring two sticks didn't work either, one or both got corrupted. Some issues…

Perfect for easy installation, love it.

Update: 12/12/2019 I upgraded/downgraded my desktop to Windows 7 from my old Windows Vista to a new Dell XPS 8920. I have a Corsair MP510 480GB SSD installed https://www. amazon.com/CORSAIR-FORCE-MP510-480GB-Storage/dp/B07HR83J4S/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 onto this adapter board and plug it into the EPS chassis without tools. Installation time 5 minutes. I turned on the machine, formatted the drive, and Ta Da! New Drive F: Very good fit, workmanship and functionality. It's just really

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons

"It just works. " Small installation problem

Just works as it should. One star deducted because it was a bit fiddly to install. The bottom end of the bracket, the narrow one that runs between the motherboard and the case, is slightly wider than it should be. In my case (Dell XPS Signature) there are loops where the narrow end of the bracket goes. The bracket did not fit into its hinge. I believe the Dell case is within spec and the bracket is incorrect. I shaved off about 0.01 inch of the brace with a file. After this operation, the board

Nonsense, too bad: Internal components

The advertised picture looks good, but the actual product when you have it is of extremely poor quality, rubbish. The box with the product looks used or used, there was no seal on it, they just put a very cheap tape on it, the anti-static bag is not sealed at all, the product looks pretty cheap, a cheap copy of the instructions a small very cheap screwdriver . The computer did not recognize my Samsung SSD 970 M.2 NVMe with this inferior adapter. What can you expect from an inferior product?

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Useless features

Great price and perfect functionality

I first bought a Supermicro AOC-SLG3-2M2 card (dual NVMe PCIe adapter) to install two Samsung NVMe drives but found that they does not work with my EVGA X299 Dark motherboard. It wasn't found at all. I returned it and bought two of these and am happy to report that they work perfectly. Considering the super cheap price I can't fault anything. Very satisfied with the product and the price. The only downside is that I had to use two PCIe slots instead of one. The LEDs are bright, but that doesn't

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • No performance

A great way to speed up IOPS

So I installed it on my Lenovo ThinkServer TS130. Very fast and requires no software. It doesn't boot, but after booting from SATA on Linux, this NVME adapter and NVMe just attaches. Recorded it immediately. I removed and formatted My.cnf in ext4service mysql stopcp -pRL /var/mysql /mnt/nvme1Reconfig to point to the new location Andservice mysql start Everything works very well Disk read time is now 1450 Mbit/s instead of 480 Mbps to SATA

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Not bad

Works great and had no problems with it!

While I was happy to use the 1TB Intel PCIe SSD, I was running out of space and needed more storage. Having already tried pcie ssd, I wanted my second storage space to have pcie ssd performance as well, but I only had 1 slot for pcie m.2 ssd, so I decided to use this adapter with another pcie m.2 ssd to see if i can use it both for my desktop storage. I connected a Samsung Evo 970 plus to the adapter and transferred all my data from the Intel SSD to it. It has worked without any problems and so

4X Fast, cheap and high quality, but cramped.

Pros of the short version: It's well built, clean and attractive, fast and literally plug and play; Windows 10 does not require drivers. Includes short rod option and cheap screwdriver. The instructions are well written. Very fast; actually slightly faster than an identical NVMe SSD installed in the motherboard slot. This might be the best single slot 4X NVMe PCIe adapter you can find. Cons of the short version: The finish is excellent, they're visually appealing but don't fit well, and it's…

  • Lots of positive vibes

  • Negatives present
