I installed my m.2 drive into this PCIe adapter on a brand new computer and it works great. First, it didn't automatically show up in the drive list like an external USB drive. I had to go into device manager and format/create the volume to initialize the drive. Once that was done, let's get started!

I really like it as a carrier for my second M.2. It's lightweight, allows the use of a heat shield, and fits perfectly on the PCI bus. I recommended it to a friend in Florida and he loves it. He will actually use 2 of them and skip the MoBos M.2 slots to put two M.2 cards on the PCI bus with these adapters.

Let me start by saying that this product works great. Only thing is that the included thermal sync is not as expected. They weren't black or metallic. It's a rubber material, and in my work, rubber isn't a good conductor of heat. I removed the rubber parts and everything works fine.

Very easy to install. Works great out of the box. I used a 1TB Sabrent NVME SSD and my old Asus Z-97a/usb3.1 motherboard. I bought a better quality metal heatsink ($10) because nvme drives are notoriously hot. Note. If your SSD is not recognized, try plugging it into a PCIe 3.0 slot instead of a PCIe 2.0 slot. Check your motherboard manual if you're not sure which connector is which. Hope it works!

The card works great as a second host for a Silicon Power NVME drive on my newly built Ryzen 3/ASRock PC. I was trying to install Windows 10 on it in my old MSI 970 FX8350 test system connected to a second full height PCIe slot. Windows 10 says it cannot crash. The drive worked fine in this slot on Windows 10. A basic driver is probably required. installed during installation. EZDIY-FAB doesn't seem to have a real website, just a Facebook page.

I replaced my computer's M2 boot disk with a larger one. My options were to clone or attach the boot (C) drive to another drive on my computer, then install a new larger M2 drive into the single M2 slot and clone the clone to the new drive. OR. Just buy this adapter, put it on my new M2 hard drive and plug it into the open PCIe slot, clone to the new hard drive, then replace the old M2 with the new cloned M2. When I received this part, one of the decoupling capacitors in the packaging was hopping. It broke on the way due to cold soldering. My parts look like they could be hand soldered which can lead to many quality issues. Luckily I was able to re-solder the part and it worked flawlessly. There's not much here, it's a circuit board with a few capacitors and configuration resistors. This made cloning my old m.2 SSD much easier than it otherwise would be.
