It works! I tried another small hub that used SATA power but it didn't come with the controller and didn't work at all, but this one works and it's pretty damn perfect. So many modes and colors, it's great!

My motherboard only has 4-pin 12V RGB connectors but I wanted to use some accessories like an RGB graphics card bracket (also from EZ-Make Fab even). I came across this little thing and it serves its purpose perfectly. I wish this didn't require a Molex power supply, but that's a simple solution with a SATA->Molex adapter. I ordered this product so I wouldn't have to buy a new motherboard with an ARGB connector to light up my InWin Aurora fans and light strips. This did the job perfectly! I know they can't advertise that they work with devices other than their own, but I can confirm that they at least work with the Aurora kit.
