Complete failure in less than a year

Complete drive failure in less than a year. I'm trying to find a way to contact the manufacturer to see if it's under warranty. I don't know how to get them.

Too loud for a DVR for computers and accessories

This drive is too loud and noisy for a DVR extension. I had to remap it as a backup drive and revert to my internal storage for now. You can tolerate this if you have a loud sound system and don't mind hearing the constant hard drive noise when the TV is off. I connected it to Genie HR44.

Reliable storage

I've only had this drive a few weeks but my previous 2TB worked fine with DirecTV for 2 years. It's a bit noisy and the blue light seems to be flashing all the time. But that's in a place where neither is a problem. I obviously like it since I bought another one. I think the description says it comes with cables, but it comes with USB 3.0, an eSATA cable and a power adapter.

Doesn't work with DirecTV HR54

Contrary to the list, the DirecTV DVR HR54 doesn't recognize this. Returns a Bad Hard Drive error every time. The computer also does not recognize the disc. Uses eSATA connection for DVR.

Do not buy this to backup your DirecTv receiver

I bought a Fantom eSATA 4TB hard drive to backup my DirecTv HR54 receiver. I followed the simple instructions to install the drive. When I restarted my HR54 after installation, it took about an hour to load. Once the TV signal arrived the picture froze and I couldn't get the manual or menu to respond to my remote control. I emailed support and they said I was having a bad ride and needed to request a replacement through Revain. I did this and received a new one within 48 hours. When I plugged…
