I wasn't too keen on the outsole either, it was a bit stiff and not the grippy rubber you'd find on water shoes. It was almost hard plastic that seemed slippery when wet.

Took our daughter to the water park and the floor was very hot. I'm so glad they protected their legs. It was easy for me and her to put on and take off the Velcro on the legs. I will be buying another pair next year because she will definitely outgrow them.

I will give her back the size 10 so they will last a long time.
