Pellets readily eaten by picky eater

My go to for eradicating sand from my horse's colon. I administer it daily for 7 days each month, per my veterinarian's suggestion. I have tried other psyllium products but this one gets eaten by my picky horse.

Pros
  • Womens
Cons
  • Horses may still require veterinary intervention despite using the product

Only thing that worked

I really like this product because it is the only thing that worked for my horse. I have used it 1 week out of the month for three months & no more watery butt. She doesn't mind when it is added to her feed like other psyllium.I plan on using this on a regular basis if needed.

Pros
  • This is a great product and we needed it in a hurry.
Cons
  • Must be stored in a cool, dry place which can be difficult in certain environments

Worked like a charm

Worked like a charm. my horse has had mild diarrhea for the 10 years that I've had him. Not bad enough to affect his health but he's getting older now and I though I should try something other than pro biotics (which didn't do a thing) to try and clear it up. Sand Clear was the only thing that worked (after one week) I'm very happy with this product and will be using it monthly.

Pros
  • my horse loves it but he loves everything. LOL
Cons
  • May not be effective in preventing future sand intake

My horse no longer suffers from sand in my belly.

My horse has a tendency to get too much sand in his gut. This has worked in clearing the problem. He doesn't like the taste, so we have to coax him by mixing a little bran with it so he'll eat it -- the reason for four stars and not five. That said, I'm pleased to find something that works.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Does not prevent sand intake, only aids in removal

Horses loved it. good for me

Horses eat it without issue. Great formula. Just a bit expensive when having to dose a full sized horse for 7 days a month but I'll pay it for my babies.

Pros
  • Great for helping to prevent sand colic.
Cons
  • Only suitable for horses, not other animals

Poor taste in my review

I love the ease of use and the pellet form. Unfortunately 2 out of 3 of my horses refuse to eat it. They generally are not picky eaters.

Pros
  • Love this brand of sand clear
Cons
  • May not be cost-effective for large-scale horse farms

My horses would not eat this.

My horses did not like this. I went back to the psyllium flakes they love. I feed monthly for 3 days to avoid sand colic. That's my review!

Pros
  • EASY TO FEED: Palatable apple & molasses flavored crumbles
Cons
  • Can be time-consuming to prepare and administer

Good for sandy areas

I’ve been using this stuff for 20 years. It can get expensive if you have more than 1 horse. I think it’s worth the price. Can be difficult to properly portion for horses of varying sizes.

Pros
  • On time and no problems
Cons
  • Can be difficult to properly portion for horses of varying sizes

Always trust this brand

My horse is a bit picky on the brand she gets for psyllium. I tried a few others and I have to say she eats Sand Clear up when I give it to her with no fuss. It does a great job and I don't ever have to worry about sand colic.

Pros
  • It’s sand clear. We use because we where told to.
Cons
  • Limited effectiveness on clinically impacted colons
