Drain assembly failure point

So the real faucet is fine (I bought Venetian bronze) and it's $217. It's ridiculous to spend more on paint. Here's the thing - the drain is incredibly unreliable, the design isn't smooth at all, to the point where my contractor, who has installed hundreds of faucets, cried uncle. I had to replace the drain knot with a pop up knot. I went to a plumbing store to get a matching Delta pop-up. $80 each. So the $300 faucet will do it fast. I couldn't reward Delta for such a terrible design by buying

Pros
  • 1.50 GPM at 60 psi, 5.7 lpm at 414 kPa
Cons
  • Some errors
