Basically got what I expected, other than one thing I consider minor (I was hoping for the texture to be more matte, but the outside is smooth and shiny instead).Since I'll be using it as a WINE tumbler, I'm not testing it for heat or cold retention like I might a water bottle or a soup thermos. Most manufacturers way-overstate how long something will stay cold or warm in the vessels they're selling, and there are so many factors involved that it's not easy to test without error being involved.

I thought this tumbler was a great alternative to the other more rugged looking tumblers out there. I had a hard time deciding on one because all of the designs are really nice. They function really well too. You can gesture emphatically while drinking your wine or beverage of choice and the lid actually works really well to prevent spills.I've used it primarily for cold beverages and it does keep them chilled, even without the lid off, for hours. This is a nice wine tumbler. However, for some reason I pictured the exterior to be less slick. Not a complete deal breaker, but it's important to know if you have a couple of tumbler's worth of drink in you! I also think this could be improved by adding a gripper bottom. It hasn't tumbled yet but that would help the stability. Hand wash, just like all other name brands of this product. Keeps cool for at least several hours.
