Unreliable and poor quality RS232 Cable

This cable is a complete waste of money. As a result of my tests, I determined that it is completely unreliable with frequent disconnects. Its poor quality also means that it doesn't last very long. Its only saving grace is that it's cheap, but it's not worth the frustration it causes.

Custom RS-232 Pinout

Some of the required pins for basic communications are not connected to the db-9 connector. Don't waste your time with this cable, most likely a new old stock originally used on equipment that is no longer in production.

Didn't work with cables and connections

Bought to connect a PC to a PTZ RS232 camera, doesn't work. I understand the cameras come with one in the kit and I took one from another camera and it worked. So this one is definitely bad. returned
