I realized that these holes existed near the end of the tube so that if one side or end of the tube was blocked due to contact with tissue in the throat, the other side would still draw mucus in. The diameter of the tube could be slightly larger so that extremely viscous mucus can drain off more easily. I recommend this to others.

I ordered this product as I know it has disadvantages, I am trained to use all suction devices. I wanted it to help my mom clear the mucus in her throat. I also asked an EMT friend if I'm wrong.
