Works well and cleans up easily after cooking. I don't know what else to say ha it's a fancy crushed wand that does what it promises and won't break the bank.

I never thought a masher was necessary for my fermented vegetables BUT I've found that more can be put into a jar with this well made product. I am very happy about this purchase.

Used for salting, including sauerkraut where needed. The only complaint was the small gaps between the bamboo pieces that could trap particles. I filled them with cyanoacrylate glue and sanded them. Now everything is in order. This will help pack the vegetables properly in the pickle containers.

I gave this star "easy to clean" and "durability" because the bamboo strips started to delaminate after the first use. While the product is still usable (for now), moisture gets trapped between the peeled strips, making thorough cleaning difficult and potentially encouraging the growth of unwanted bacteria. Do yourself a favor and buy a solid wood rammer - it sucks.
